About Us

"The Bead Room" (as the home office was affectionately referred to) was opened in 2005 by me, Carina Canales. Starting as a hobby, I started teaching basic jewellery making techniques and sourcing beads from all over the world. It rapidly grew and the "room" was soon bursting at the seams. The Moorebank store was opened and everything moved over, which of course included me quitting my part-time admin job to pursue the dream of business-ownership and of-course, to bead all day! 

Having always been doing some sort of craft as a child, everything from crochet to paper-tole, my favourites now include beadwork with peyote, right angle weave, cabochons and am quite obsessed with Swarovski Crystal. Resin and glass fusing are also big parts of my craft time. I live near our store with my husband and 3 young sons.

The Bead Room stocks a huge range of beads and have a fantastic range of findings. As we run the on-line store in conjuction with our physical store, sometimes, we dont get to put up everything we get so please ask if there is anything specific you are after! There are over 4000 products which will be on-line by end of 2009.

Our order turn-around is top priority and we aim to have your order packed and posted between 24-48 hours excluding weekends (unless there is some production time involved - such as with resin).
